As a restauranteur you can house both your menu and wine list in the ZiNG!™ app, creating a tool to discover the availability of suitable pairings. The ZiNG! app provides you with an excellent environment not only to train your staff about pairing wine and food but to collaboratively design and develop a menu and wine program that is full of great experiences.
By subscribing to the wine lists that your distributors have published to the ZiNG! cloud you can do the research to find the perfect compliments to your food style, even if you do not have a trained sommelier on staff. Similarly subtle changes to the dominant elements within a dish can influence your wine selections.
ZiNG! can help you take the mystery out of a wine list and give confidence to your diners that they can select pairings that will enhance their meal, and you can sell more wine in the process. ZiNG! can also give you confidence to offer different (but more suitable) wines instead of relying purely on name brands.
How do I … ?

Data within ZiNG! is organized into collections. Each collection has a style that determines what features are available. Restaurants have both a wine list and a menu.
- On the home screen, tap edit and then the green plus next to add new collection
- Enter a name
- Change the style to restaurant
- Select an icon and a background
- Tap save and then done to finish
Enter foods
There are eight food elements: Salt, Bitter, Acid, Umami, Fat, Sugar, Spice, and Protein. Each element is scored from 0 to 2 depending on how dominant it is within the food.
- Select the collection
- Tap what are you eating?
- Tap the + button
- Enter a name and any further details
- To profile a food element, tap the label for how dominant that element is

Subscribe to distributor collection
If your wine distributor has published their data to the ZiNG! cloud then it will be convenient to subscribe to their collection. This will allow you to see which of their wines would work with your dishes.
- Tap edit and then on the green plus next to subscribe to collection
- Enter search criteria, in this example we are searching by publisher
- Select a collection
- Tap subscribe to load the data
- Tap done to finish

- Tap settings and then publish
- Turn publish collection on
- Enter any optional data such as location
